Job description

Schedule: Mon-Fri 6:30a-3p, occasional Saturdays as needed
 
AGV Operator will be responsible for running and programing our internal production software for the duration of their shift. This position must monitor and troubleshoot throughout production and will be responsible for the completion of all daily tasks. This role ensures our meat product is moved safely throughout the plant using robotics and troubleshooting issues as necessary. This role must be able to lift product on/off of machines. The mission of the position is to ensure smooth transfer of our product throughout the facility.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Overseeing robotic operations during production while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensuring all technical operations and robotics are actively and properly engaged in their assigned tasks.
  • Communicating technical needs and following up on tasks to ensure they were acknowledged and carried out properly.
  • Monitoring all products through our production software system to verify it is up to company standards.
  • Operate and maintain production machinery, ensuring it is not only functioning properly, but is being used according to safety protocols.
  • Keeping accurate and timely records of product such as quantity, weight, and location
  • Accurate completion of any assigned paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Reporting daily progress to direct Manager to create an accurate and organized unit.
  • Recording and real time tracking of all lots processed through daily production.
  • Maintaining the flow of product movements on the production floor.
  • Running robotics operations in a time effective manner that follows the goals and schedule of production.
  • Keeping accurate records of products to ensure efficiency while exploring where and how we can improve in our production processes.
  • The ability to adapt to operational and maintenance challenges in a way that allows production to run smoothly.
  • Shutting down of all robotics operations.
  • The ability to multi-task is a necessary skill required to properly run production in a time effective manner. 
  • The success of this role requires strong technical understanding of the equipment and automation involved in the process. This is necessary in order to properly inspect, operate and maintain expected production standards. The holder of this position must be able to adapt quickly to technical difficulties and changes.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • One year or more working with a basic operating system
  • Basic knowledge of technical operating systems
  • Basic knowledge of standard computer programs
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Programs
  • Experience with ERP system (preferred)
  • Communicate all challenges to the intended supervisor to ensure problems are dealt with at the root cause to avoid reoccurrence.
  • Effective communication with all team members to promote unity and ensure production goals are met.
Work Environment:
  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. This is a refrigerated environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and products of at least 25 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
