Job description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in CNC programming and machining processes, with the ability to work with various materials and precision instruments. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints effectively. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality components that meet our stringent specifications.

Duties

  • Operate CNC milling machines and lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications.
  • Perform CNC programming and CAM programming for various machining operations.
  • Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure accuracy in production.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
  • Conduct quality control checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
  • Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes and improve efficiency through lean manufacturing practices.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed for assembly tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with a strong understanding of machining processes.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., Fanuc) and CAM software.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD systems, and electrical discharge machining is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery effectively.
  • Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and other specifications.
  • Experience with plastics injection molding is a plus.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
