  • Develop detailed electrical designs using SolidWorks Electrical and AutoCAD 2D/3D.
  • Support short-circuit, load-flow, voltage-drop, and protection-coordination studies.
  • Design low-voltage systems up to 1 kV and medium-voltage systems up to 33 kV.
  • Capture field redlines and update drawings based on production-site conditions.
  • Prepare cable schedules, conduit layouts, cable-tray routing, and interconnection drawings.
  • Support motor-control, power-distribution, grounding, and backup-power designs.
  • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, construction, and operations teams.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical codes and standards.
  • Learn and use Revit MEP as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of electrical design experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical and AutoCAD.
  • Strong electrical design experience in industrial machinery, HVAC, cooling systems, data centers, industrial facilities, or building services.
  • Hands-on experience with low- and medium-voltage electrical systems.
  • Working knowledge of NEC, ANSI, IEEE, and IEC standards.
  • Experience supporting electrical calculations and protection studies.
  • Ability to interpret markups, redlines, specifications, and field conditions.
  • Ability to work onsite in Houston and visit production facilities regularly.
Equipment and Systems Experience

  • DOL, star-delta, and soft starters
  • ATS, AMF panels, UPS, and backup-power integration
  • Cable trays, conduits, and routing systems
  • Earthing, grounding, and bonding systems
  • Electrical distribution and protection systems
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing or production environments
  • Background in HVAC, cooling, or modular industrial systems
This role is intended for an experienced electrical specialist. Mechanical or structural professionals without substantial experience in electrical design will not be considered.
