POSITION SUMMARY

Autobahn Collision Center in Chandler is seeking an experienced and dependable Auto Body Technician to join our team. This position performs high-quality collision and body repairs, including vehicle disassembly, repair, reassembly, surface preparation, and finishing. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship and can work efficiently in a fast-paced collision repair environment.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Thoroughly disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles according to repair requirements.

Repair or replace damaged body panels, bumpers, doors, fenders, and related components.

Perform dent and scratch repairs using appropriate body fillers and finishing techniques.

Perform wet sanding, buffing, polishing, and other surface preparation work.

Prepare vehicle surfaces for refinishing using abrasives, solvents, masking tape, and masking materials.

Perform panel alignment, welding, and structural repairs as qualified.

Follow repair orders, estimates, and manufacturer repair procedures.

Safely operate power tools, sprayers, and collision repair equipment.

Inspect completed repairs to ensure proper fit, finish, quality, and safety.

Identify additional vehicle damage or repair needs and communicate findings to management.

Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow and meet repair deadlines.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Participate in required training and safety meetings.

Follow all company, manufacturer, and workplace safety procedures.

Work Environment:

May work indoors or outdoors and be exposed to vehicle traffic, varying temperatures, noise, and typical automotive workplace conditions.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous auto body or collision repair experience required, preferably in a dealership or professional collision repair facility.

Knowledge of auto body repair, vehicle restoration, and surface preparation techniques.

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot repair issues.

Experience using automotive power tools and collision repair equipment.

Welding, frame, structural, or manufacturer-specific repair experience is a plus.

I-CAR or manufacturer certifications preferred but not required.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Dependable and able to work in a fast-paced service environment.

Compensation

Hourly Pay Range: $17.00-$35.00 per hour,

based on experience, qualifications, and skill level.
