Job description

Receives and transports patients and visitors in a safe and timely manner to their designated destination.  Will document request for Services in order to provide an accurate and timely tracking system.  Will maintain wheelchairs, stretchers, and all other used equipment in clean and sanitary condition as well as proper working order (i.e.-oiling wheels of such equipment).  Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Required

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Or an equivalent combination of education and related previous work experience.

Preferred

  • Experience: Patient transportation or customer service experience
  • Certifications: BLS
  • Transports patients from one area of the hospital to another as needed.
  • Receives and transports patients and visitors in a safe and timely manner to their designated destination
  • Cleans all equipment as assigned;
  • assists other employees as directed;
  • may assist with clerical work in the department as time permits.
  • Performs related duties as required
