Job description

Job Title: Transmission Dissembler

2041 S County Line Rd, Plant City, FL 33566 (Hide in posting)

Payrate: $17.00 to $19.00

1st shift 7am-4pm Monday through Friday

Job Description and Job Duties:

We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined and has vehicle knowledge. Our transmission dissembler will have to use tools to dismantle transmission. The purpose is to break down the complex components of the transmission, such as gears, shafts, and bearings, into individual parts for inspection, repair, or replacement. This process is to remanufacture functionality and performance. The dissembler allows for a thorough examination and ensures that all parts are properly functioning before reassembly. You will be working in a manufacturing plant. Must perform the following.

  • Dissemble transmission and components as required
  • Use precision tools
  • Perform self-inspection and test of equipment
  • No specific transmission experience is required and must have some experience with auto mechanics.
  • Look for defects and report any issues to your superior

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-year experience with multiple part assemblies
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of transmission systems, including gears, shafts, bearings, and related components.
  • Mechanical Skills: Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for dismantling and reassembling transmissions.
  • Experience: Prior experience in automotive repair, heavy machinery maintenance, or transmission repair is highly preferred.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to carefully inspect and identify wear or damage in transmission parts.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the disassembly and reassembly process.
  • Knowledge of Safety Protocols: Familiarity with safety procedures to prevent accidents during the dismantling process.
  • Certification: Relevant certifications in automotive repair or mechanical systems may be advantageous.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
