Gold Key Auto Credit Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shop Foreman / Lead Technician to oversee daily operations in our Davenport service department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive technician ready to step into a leadership role while continuing to work hands-on.
The Shop Foreman will supervise a team of 4–6 technicians, coordinate workflow, ensure quality repairs, and act as the key point of contact between the service team and management.
Lead, mentor, and support a team of 4–6 automotive technicians.
Assist less experienced technicians with diagnostics, repairs, and professional development.
Manage repair orders and ensure accurate ticket creation in the shop management system.
Order, track, and organize parts to maintain shop efficiency.
Conduct quality control inspections to ensure repairs meet company and industry standards.
Collaborate with service advisors and management to meet production goals and maintain customer satisfaction.
Promote and enforce a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
5+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience.
Prior leadership or team lead experience in a shop environment preferred.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across multiple vehicle systems.
Familiarity with shop management software and repair ticket systems.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
ASE certifications (preferred but not required).
Competitive salary: $75,000 – $95,000+ annually, depending on experience.
