Job description

The Service Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of service operations at the branch level, including customer retention, account growth, operational compliance, and team performance. This role ensures excellence in route delivery service, customer satisfaction, and financial results. The Service Manager reports directly to the General Manager. 

You Will:

  • Lead, develop, and coach District Managers and Route Sales Representatives to build a high-performing, accountable, and promotable service team.
  • Drive employee performance through regular coaching, performance evaluations, and career development planning.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by overseeing route audits, customer visits, issue resolution, and proactive communication. 
  • Support customer retention and revenue growth through upselling, cross-selling, product sampling, and successful new account installations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Production, and Office teams to support branch goals, identify growth opportunities, and maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
  • Promote a safe working environment and enforce all safety standards. Ensure delivery vehicles are being properly maintained and operated safely.

What You Bring:

  • 3 to 5 years of leadership experience in route-based service, uniforms/linen, logistics, transportation, distribution, or a similar service-driven environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of route operations, customer retention, performance management, and service execution.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations, fleet safety, driver qualification requirements, and workplace safety standards.
  • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. 

Work Environment and Requirements:

  • Operating vehicles on public roads, working in customer locations, office and service areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, Service Center, or depot.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed.
  • May be required to drive a company-owned vehicle or employee-owned vehicle at company’s discretion.
