A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AUTO SERVICE ADVISOR / SERVICE WRITER

As an Auto Service Advisor / Service Writer, your friendly personality shines through in all your interactions! Whether over the phone or in person, you greet each customer graciously and listen carefully as they explain the issues they're experiencing with their car. Thorough and attentive to detail, you create written estimates complete with a comprehensive plan for urgent car repairs and future service needs. As someone who is honest and persuasive without being pushy, you are effective at converting recommendations into sales. You then add the work order to the database and schedule an appointment, providing the customer with a realistic timeline of when the work will be completed.

An excellent communicator, you serve as a liaison between customers and technicians. Luckily, you have access to a computerized point of sales system to seamlessly communicate with our technicians who have computer terminals and tablets on hand. You keep the customer in the loop throughout the repair process, providing updates and contacting them when their car is ready for pickup. You love helping people each day, and you feel great knowing that our customers and technicians value your efforts!

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in a service advisor role
  • Excellent customer service skills

WORK SCHEDULE FOR AN AUTO SERVICE ADVISOR / SERVICE WRITER

Hours for our automotive shop are Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 6 pm. Occasional overtime work may be required.
