Auto Technician Mechanic – Family-Owned Auto Repair Shop

Location: Oak Ridge, TN
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $900 to $1,600 weekly

Job Summary

We’re seeking an experienced Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with strong diagnostic skills and a passion for automotive repair.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in a wide range of vehicles.
  • Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately, adhering to industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively to explain diagnoses, repairs, and costs.
  • Ensure all work meets shop safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts, and labor.
  • Assist with inventory management and shop operations as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as an automotive technician, with proven expertise in vehicle diagnostics and repair.
  • Strong ability to diagnose complex automotive issues, including engine, transmission, electrical, and computer systems.
  • ASE certifications (preferred but not required).
  • Must have your own tools.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a family-oriented, team-driven environment.
