About the role:
We are excited to continue our pattern growth by adding a Claims Recovery Adjuster to our claims organization to help continue the build out of our claims program. In this role, you will play a critical role in driving Vega's world class claims organization by handling all recovery aspects for our first and third party claims, including cargo. We're a distributed team with offices located in New York, NY and Atlanta, GA. This role is a hybrid position going into the Atlanta office.
What you'll do:
  • Review coverage and damage analysis
  • Review and provide input on liability decisions and recovery opportunities
  • Collaborate with the members of the Claims and Claims leadership team
  • Provide recommendations on settlement negotiations and recovery litigation management
  • Utilize data available to drive focus on claim trends
  • Handle special projects or additional duties assigned related to your role as an individual contributor of the claims organization

About You:
  • 5+ years of experience in auto and/or transportation claim adjudication
  • At least 3 years of exclusive insurance recovery and subrogation experience
  • Active adjusters license in home or designated home state
  • Consistently exceeds targets including, but not limited to, cycle time and recovery rates
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Bias-to-action - you're not afraid to get your hands dirty and stretch yourself
  • Owner mentality - take accountability for your actions and results
  • Strong collaborator with team members based across the country and the world
  • Successfully able to work in high-growth & ambiguous start-up environments
