Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Non‑Ferrous Receiver for our Québec site. Reporting to the Site Director, the incumbent receives the various types of metals, performs an initial classification, and directs them to the appropriate locations. The incumbent also participates in basic administrative aspects of daily operations.

What you will be responsible for: 

  • Opening and closing daily operations
  • Welcoming customers and informing them of current metal prices
  • Processing payments and answering telephone calls
  • Preparing shipping documents and balancing the cash register at the end of the day
  • Participating in the unloading, sorting, and weighing of metals
  • Entering data into the RECY software
  • Operating various equipment, including a forklift
  • Ensuring cleanliness of the premises and performing all other related duties
Qualifications

To join our team:

  • You have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar position
  • You hold a valid Class 5 driver’s licence
  • You have knowledge of metal recycling, an asset
  • You have experience operating a forklift, an asset
  • You will receive on‑the‑job training
  • You are available to work outdoors and be exposed to hot or cold temperatures
  • You are able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • You are able to perform metal sorting on a table or on the ground
