Job description:

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team in a fast-paced fabrication shop environment. This position is responsible for preparing and painting fabricated metal products using gravity cup spray guns and various industrial coatings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with primer, enamel, and 3-stage paint systems and be comfortable working in a production-driven setting.

This position requires full-time residency within the greater Knoxville, Tennessee area and the ability to report to the same physical work site each scheduled workday. Candidates must be reliably available for on-site, in-person work.


Schedule:
Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Overtime available on Saturdays


Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply primer, enamel, and 3-stage paint systems using gravity cup spray guns
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
  • Ensure proper mixing and application of coatings according to specifications
  • Inspect painted parts to ensure quality and consistent finish
  • Maintain paint equipment and keep work area clean and organized
  • Work efficiently to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced shop environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
  • Collaborate with team members to keep production moving smoothly


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an industrial painter or spray painter in a fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with gravity cup spray guns required
  • Knowledge of primer, enamel, and multi-stage paint systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift
