Job description

Dallas County Technical Centerย is currently accepting applications for an Automotiveย Technology Instructor beginning immediately for the 2026-2027ย school year.ย Applicants should beย highly knowledgeable and versatile in the Auto Mechanics industry,ย be ASE certified, and must be willing and able to obtain Career Education Certification.ย This individual will also be required to pass a background check and will be properly vetted throughout the hiring process.ย 
Qualified applicants must possess one of the following:

*Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university along with 4,000 hours of Department-approved, closely related occupational experience within the past ten years.
*Associates degree from an accredited college or university along with 5,000 hours of Department-approved, closely related occupational experience within the past ten years.
*No degree and 6,000 hours of department-approved, closely related occupation experience within the past ten years.
Preferred candidates would have teaching experience; but not required. Candidates without prior teaching experience must have 2-3 years of closely related occupational experience within the past 10 years.ย This is a 9 month position and comes with a competitive benefit package.ย
