Description of Duties:
  • Performs skilled operations in the repair and overhaul of gasoline and diesel motor equipment, including cars, trucks, tractors, buses and other school equipment.
  • Ensures all vehicles are maintained in accordance with DOT standards, identifies issues to be corrected and makes recommendations to the Head Mechanic.
  • Assists in the maintenance of the physical building and grounds.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
  • May act as a substitute school bus driver as needed.

Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Hold current CDL license, Class B license or training is available
  • Satisfy Civil Service & DMV Article 19 qualifications
  • Have a clean driving record
  • Demonstrates ability to work with children, staff and community
