Job description

Job Title: Experienced Auto Mechanic / Auto Body Technician (with Machine Shop Involvement)

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Mechanic / Auto Body Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in automotive repair and/or auto body work who is also eager to expand their skills into the machine shop environment. Candidates should have proven hands-on experience in auto mechanics or body repair, with a willingness to learn new processes and equipment where experience is limited.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles (classic and modern).
  • Carry out auto body repairs, including panel replacement, sanding, priming, painting, and finishing.
  • Disassemble and reassemble vehicles as needed for repair or restoration.
  • Assist in machining and fabrication tasks in the machine shop (training provided).
  • Work with both mechanical and cosmetic restoration projects, including classic cars and custom builds.
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail on every job.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with team members on problem-solving and project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an auto mechanic and/or auto body technician.
  • Knowledge of vehicle systems, parts, and repair techniques.
  • Familiarity with auto body repair methods (welding, grinding, filler, paint prep, refinishing).
  • Basic fabrication or machining knowledge a plus (training available).
  • Ability to read and follow technical manuals, repair procedures, and work orders.
