Job description

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Bodyman / Mechanic to join our dynamic automotive team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive vehicle body repairs, structural restorations, and mechanical maintenance to ensure vehicles meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and appearance. Your expertise will help restore vehicles to their original condition, providing exceptional service and craftsmanship. Responsibilities

  • Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, sanding, and automotive cosmetic repairs using hand tools and power tools.
  • Conduct welding repairs utilizing MIG welding techniques and automotive welding equipment to restore structural integrity.
  • Fabricate and repair vehicle parts through fabrication techniques such as soldering, sheet metal shaping, and custom fabrication repair methods.
  • Execute auto body refinishing, and detailing to achieve a flawless finish.
  • Install automotive parts including auto glass, bumpers, panels, and other components with precision and care.
  • Utilize automotive parts installation knowledge to ensure proper fitment and alignment of repaired or replaced parts.
  • Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as mechanical repairs, auto restoration projects, and general automotive repair work.
  • Use sanding tools and finishing techniques to prepare surfaces for painting or refinishing.
  • Perform heavy lifting safely while handling vehicle components or materials during repair processes.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair process.

Experience

  • Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or mechanic in a dealership or collision repair environment.
  • Strong background in auto body repair including auto restoration, dent repair, sheet metal work, and structural repairs.
  • Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication repair techniques, and welding repair using automotive welding equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with auto painting, auto body refinishing, sanding tools, and automotive cosmetic repairs.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts installation procedures including auto glass replacement and assembly tasks.
  • Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools and basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle maintenance tasks.
