Job Description:

At Boyd Autobody & Glass, we have been providing quality workmanship on every collision repair for over 30 years. As part of The Boyd Group, we have numerous locations throughout Western and Central Canada. We provide the knowledge and equipment you need to excel on our team. The Auto Body Technician is responsible for structural and non-structural repairs, and will disassemble, repair, and reassemble each vehicle. The Auto Body Technician works with all team members in achieving the repair facilities' KPIs.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
  • Repair damage to vehicle body panels
  • Vehicle disassembly and reassembly
  • Repair or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessories
  • Remove and install welded and sectioned parts to a vehicle
  • Assess and repair structural components of a vehicle
  • Use of frame equipment
  • Apply new knowledge and skills to ensure a high level of quality and productivity, which directly contributes to KPI's (Sales/ CP/ EBITA/ BHPD/ NPS).
  • Take responsibility for outcomes and continuously seek learning opportunities to improve performance

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of Post-Secondary Education in an Auto Body Repair Program

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience
  • Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding)

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • Red Seal or 310B is preferred
  • I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification)

Other RequirementsTravel, physical requirements, etc.

  • You are able to lift up to 50 Lbs
  • You have your own toolbox
  • Valid driver's license required

Compensation:
