Detailers wash, wax, and polish the exterior while also vacuuming, shampooing, and conditioning the interior. They may also perform minor cosmetic touch-ups, such as scratch removal. The goal is to enhance the vehicle's condition and maintain its value.

Many detailers work in teams, often collaborating closely with service advisors or supervisors to prioritize vehicles and address specific customer requests. This role is fast-paced, and attention to detail is vital for delivering a high-quality finish and customer satisfaction. The work environment is usually a shop, dealership, or detailing center, with both indoor and outdoor responsibilities depending on the employer.
