Farm Tire Repair Technician
Reports to: Shop Manager
Location: Canby
Pay Range: $18.00 - $28.00
Supervises: NA
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Farm Tire Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, mounting, and servicing agricultural, truck, and implement tires for customers and company equipment. This position supports farming operations by providing prompt, safe, and professional tire service both in the shop and in the field during peak agricultural seasons. When not performing tire service calls, the technician will assist with daily operations in the auto shop, supporting vehicle maintenance activities, shop organization, customer service, and general operational needs.
DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Area amp; Tasks
Tire Service amp; Repair

Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation
Perform tire repairs using approved methods and materials
Mount, dismount, and replace agricultural, truck, and implement tires
Field Service
Respond to on-site service calls at farms and customer locations
Operate tire service trucks safely and efficiently
Provide emergency tire repair and replacement services during seasonal demands
Equipment Maintenance
Maintain tire service tools, jacks, compressors, and related equipment
Perform routine inspections and report equipment repairs as needed
Safety amp; Compliance
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Use proper lifting techniques and required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Shop Support
Assist with daily operations in the auto shop
Vehicle maintenance tasks
Shop organization
Equipment upkeep
Customer service support
Customer Service
Deliver courteous and professional service to customers
Communicate repair recommendations and service findings clearly
Administrative Duties
Complete work orders and service records accurately
Maintain inventory of repair materials and supplies
General Support
Assist with shop housekeeping and other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS amp; REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous tire repair, automotive, diesel, farm equipment, or mechanical experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of agricultural equipment and farming operations is beneficial.
  • Experience operating service trucks and tire-changing equipment is a plus.
  • Basic computer and recordkeeping skills preferred.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Frequent standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Willingness to work overtime, evenings, and weekends during peak seasons.
