Burtness Chevrolet, Buick GMC & Burtness CDJR – Whitewater, WI

Burtness is seeking a motivated Service Manager to lead our Service Department at our Whitewater dealerships. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader who is passionate about customer satisfaction, team development, and operational excellence.

As our Service Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the service department while supporting technicians, advisors, and staff to ensure an efficient, productive, and customer-focused environment.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Service Department
  • Coach, mentor, and develop service advisors, technicians, and support staff
  • Monitor department performance, productivity, and key performance indicators
  • Promote exceptional customer service and timely resolution of customer concerns
  • Schedule workflow and ensure efficient shop operations
  • Work closely with the Parts Department to maximize efficiency
  • Maintain compliance with manufacturer requirements, company policies, and safety standards
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and employee performance management
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented workplace culture
  • Monitor repair order quality, warranty administration, and departmental profitability


Qualifications

  • Previous automotive service management or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to motivate and develop employees
  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience with dealership management systems is preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in both office and shop environments.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the dealership during the workday.
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles.
  • Valid driver's license that meets the company's insurability requirements.
