Job description

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Structural Auto Body Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles that have sustained structural damage due to accidents or other incidents. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in repairing and rebuilding vehicle frames, aligning frames and suspension systems, replacing damaged body panels and parts, and using specialized tools and equipment.

Responsibilities: Conducting thorough assessments of structural damage on vehicles to determine the scope of repairs needed. Disassembling damaged vehicles to assess the extent of structural damage and identify any hidden damage. Repairing and rebuilding vehicle frames to factory specifications using specialized tools and techniques.

Aligning frames and suspension systems to ensure proper vehicle handling and safety. Replacing damaged body panels and parts with new or used parts, depending on the customer's preference and budget. Utilizing specialized welding techniques to repair damaged metal parts, including MIG, TIG, and resistance welding.

Utilizing computerized measuring systems to ensure proper alignment and repairs. Communicating effectively with team members and customers to ensure clear understanding of repair needs and timelines. Maintaining a clean and organized work area and adhering to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

Keeping up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques. Requirements Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience in auto body repair, with an emphasis on structural repairs.

Knowledge of welding techniques and use of specialized tools and equipment. Experience in frame and suspension alignment. Ability to read and interpret repair orders and technical manuals.

Attention to detail and quality workmanship. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team environment.

Relevant certification(s) such as ASE Structural Technician or I-CAR Gold Class certification is preferred. Experience utilizing Car-O-Liner, Chief, Genesis, or Celette highly preferred Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead. Benefits This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation and benefits package. Total annual compensation is based on technician's experience and production hours.
