We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Body Shop Estimator to lead our collision repair department. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of body shop operations to ensure high-quality repairs, customer satisfaction, and an efficient workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all vehicles are repaired to industry standards and customer expectations
  • Maintain strong relationships with insurance adjusters and customers
  • Oversee inventory management and ordering of parts and supplies
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and compliance with regulatory requirements (OSHA, hazardous waste disposal, etc.)
  • Prepare and manage the body shop budget and financial reports
  • Provide fair estimates of the cost of parts and time required for body work
  • Monitor the maintenance of paint booths, frame straightening equipment, and other fixed assets
  • Conduct periodic spot checks of completed jobs to maintain high-quality service
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and work with the team to meet them
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints, striving for exceptional customer service
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements, implementing new techniques and technologies

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a body shop or a similar automotive role
  • High School diploma or GED; certification in automotive repair preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of collision repair techniques and industry standards
  • Proficiency in estimating software and dealership computer systems
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of auto insurance and the insurance claims process
  • I-CAR certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
