Job description

About the Role:

Haley Ford is seeking an Auto Body Shop Estimator.  The Auto Body Shop Estimator plays a crucial role in the automotive repair process by accurately assessing vehicle damage and providing detailed estimates for repair costs. This position requires a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills to evaluate the extent of damage and the necessary repairs. The estimator will work closely with customers to explain the repair process and provide transparent pricing, ensuring a positive customer experience. Additionally, the estimator will collaborate with technicians and insurance companies to facilitate smooth communication and efficient workflow. Ultimately, the goal of this role is to ensure that repairs are completed to the highest standards while maintaining customer satisfaction and trust.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess repair needs and costs.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for repairs, including parts and labor.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain the repair process and answer any questions.
  • Collaborate with technicians to ensure all necessary repairs are identified and included in the estimate.
  • Liaise with insurance companies to provide necessary documentation and facilitate claims processing.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in auto body repair or estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and parts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with estimating software and tools.
  • Previous customer service experience in the automotive industry.
