Job description
Entry-level position with great opportunity for advancement via an internal apprenticeship program! Detailers have the chance to learn other roles at Yach's and find their passion and specialty while earning a solid income in automotive detailing.
The Automotive Detailer is responsible for inspecting and preparing vehicles for customer delivery to Yach's quality standard. A great candidate will be ready to contribute to the team-based culture we have cultivated over many years, be willing to communicate issues, and be excited to learn more about our process and how they can succeed by helping the business succeed.
Compensation:$13 - $18 hourly
Responsibilities:
Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects (i.e, dents, scratches, torn upholstery, etc.).
Thoroughly washes the vehicle exterior and interior.
Applies wax to the vehicle body and buffs exterior surfaces.
Vacuums vehicle interior to remove loose debris.
Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces.
Revitalizes and preserves interior vinyl or leather surfaces.
Treats fabrics with spot- and stain-resistant chemicals.
Uses special-purpose cleaners to remove materials that normal cleaning procedures do not remove.
Qualifications:
Strong communication - Ability to communicate at a high level with the Yacht's team.
Organization - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and adaptable to workplace changes.
Education and Experience - Completion of high school or equivalent. Two (2) years of detailing experience preferred but not required.
Goal-Oriented - Ability to meet and exceed the goals of the role and improve company standards.
