Job description

Auto Auction Driver
Carleton MI
$17/hour
Job is every Thursday 9 am - to complete (around noon)

Job Responsibilities
  • Safely drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale days
  • Transport vehicles to and from designated areas on auction property, customer dealerships, and business locations
  • Follow all auction driving rules, traffic laws, and defensive driving practices
  • Line up and park vehicles in the correct locations as directed by supervisors or team leaders
  • Move and locate vehicles as needed, including locating misplaced or “lost” vehicles
  • Assist with basic vehicle operation needs such as jump-starting vehicles and inflating tires
  • Notify supervisors of inoperative vehicles or vehicles requiring fuel assistance
  • Provide excellent customer service to dealers, account representatives, rental agencies, and coworkers
  • Follow all company safety procedures and actively support workplace safety initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
  • Work overtime as needed based on business demands
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required
  • Ability to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles
  • Ability to repeatedly enter and exit vehicles throughout the shift
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to walk long distances across auction lots
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, and climb
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Strong vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Work Environment
  • Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions
