Vehicle Inspector/Condition Writer
Growing national auto auction! Vehicle Inspector/Condition Writer needed for our Phoenix auction! Seeking a candidate with past or present vehicle condition inspection.  Frame and structural damage inspection experience is a major plus!  Automotive experience in repairs or inspections is required.  Auto auction, vehicle repair, rental car/truck damage inspector, insurance vehicle inspector, collision/body shop estimator/inspector, or related automotive repair/inspection experience is required.

Work hours for Vehicle Inspector/Condition Writer

  • Monday - Friday
  • 7AM - 4PM or 8AM - 5PM
  • Occasional Saturday as needed
  • Overtime is required at times but not guaranteed

Responsibilities for Vehicle Inspector/Condition Writer

  • Perform vehicle inspections and complete accurate cosmetic and mechanical condition reports.
  • Document and photograph vehicle details, damages, and safety concerns.
  • Coordinate vehicle reconditioning and repair processes.
  • Move and stage vehicles to support auction and sales operations.
  • Remove personally Identifiable Information (PII) from vehicles.
  • Provide professional customer service and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Maintain productivity, accuracy, and quality standards.
  • Keep work areas clean and properly maintain tools and equipment.
  • Follow all company safety, compliance, and confidentiality policies.
  • Travel locally as needed and perform additional duties assigned by management.
Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities for Vehicle Inspector/Condition Writer

  • Automotive vehicle condition inspection experience is required.
  • Frame and structural damage experience is a major plus!
  • Strong written communication skills, including grammar, clarity, and attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to accurately interpret inspection data, photographs, and vehicle condition checklists.
  • Comfortable working with reporting software, digital platforms, and inspection systems.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality and accuracy.
  • Need to pass pre-employment screening.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license for the duration of employment.
  • Good driving record.
  • Able to work in all types of weather conditions and outdoor settings.
  • Able to be on your feet most of the day.
