Automotive Service Technician (Safety Certified)

Job Type -Part Time (Monday, Tuesday and Saturdays)

We have a great opportunity for a Part TimeAutomotive Service Technician with Safety Certification to join our dynamic team in a company and industry with great growth opportunities.We are one of the fastest growing dealerships in Manitoba with a recently expanded shop to keep up with our growing customer base.

After the initial 90 days of training, success will mean having the ability and skills to diagnose and perform vehicle maintenance and repairs and inform Service Advisors of the required work that is needed on a vehicle.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspects vehicles to ensure they meet government safety standards and regulations.
  • Determines if a vehicle is safe for the road and issues a Certificate of Inspection (COI) when it passes.
  • Performs necessary repairs and maintenance to make a vehicle pass a safety inspection.
  • Diagnoses and repairs a wide range of vehicle systems, including brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems.
  • Inform Tower/Dispatch when repairs are finished and ensure that repair stories are complete, well written and include a properly documented complaint, cause and correction story
  • Check and verify parts before installation


Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Must have Safety-certified certification
  • Red Seal L4 Technician Certification
  • In-depth knowledge of and background in technical diagnosis and repair as well as electrical systems
  • A/C license as an asset
  • Have great communication skills, written and verbal
  • Face challenges with a can-do attitude
  • Have pride in your work and attention to detail
  • Enjoy a busy but well-structured workshop environment
  • Have strong organizational and prioritization skill with the ability to multi-task
  • Be self-motivated with initiative and work unsupervised
