Job description

Seeking BE/BC Developmental Behavioral or Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician to join team in NW Georgia focused on providing direct, high quality coordinated care to address the range of developmental and behavioral health challenges, medical complexities and therapy needs of children with developmental delays. Care will be provided in our 54,000 square foot freestanding care institute integrating children's services in one building.


  • Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Fridays for documentation
  • Growth opportunities exist for program development, and leadership
  • Candidate will have a significant impact on the quality-of-care delivery and health outcomes for the region including outreach presentations for families, providers, community, and conferences
  • Pediatric Clinic with a mix of new and established patients
  • Multidisciplinary care for children with autism, including applied behavioral analysis (ABA) services
  • Clinical support team including an Educational Resource Coordinator to help families engage effectively with their school system
  • Integrated behavioral health services
  • Care of children with neuromuscular conditions
  • Interdisciplinary Neonatal Neurodevelopmental Follow Up Clinic

Department Overview:

  • Onsite Pediatric Therapies: PT, OT, SLP
  • Onsite Provider Team: Developmental Behavioral Pediatricians, Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists, Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Registered Behavior Technicians, Social Worker, Educational Resource Coordinator and Nurse Care Navigator
  • Community Offerings: Family Support Network and a robust local support for our programs
  • Teaching medical students and family medicine residents during their developmental behavioral rotation

Qualified candidates:

  1. Education: Doctoral Degree in Psychology, Prefer Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology.
  2. Degree from APA accredited Internship/residency and APA accredited doctorate program required.
  3. Licensure: Georgia license or eligible to apply for Georgia License. Must have license prior to beginning in the position. Current CPR Certification or obtained within 30 days of start date.
  4. Experience: One year experience in a counseling/testing position, may be pre-doctoral. Prefer experience with pediatric population.
  5. Skills: Strong clinical diagnostic and testing skills. Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of age appropriate patient needs. Ability to select proper instrumentation/supplies appropriate for developmental age/diagnosis of patients served.
  6. Ability to work as a team member
  7. Commitment to quality, patient safety and overall excellence in evidence based clinical care

Group services offered include:
  • Medical services - Two developmental behavioral pediatricians to care for the child and provide support for the parents/guardians.
  • Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) services - Board Certified Behavioral Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) each of whom can provide ABA therapy.
  • Psychology - A Child Psychologist and a Pediatric Neuropsychologist who can provide family and individual cognitive behavioral therapy, testing and counseling.
  • Therapy Services to assist with developing/maximizing skills - Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Feeding Therapy.
  • Family Support Services - An Educational Resource Coordinator, a Care Navigator and a Social Worker/Resource Coordinator to assist with answering questions through the diagnostic/treatment processes and providing children and families with connections to additional resources
  • Billing/Registration – A team of specialists to connect with your insurance provider to determine just what your insurance will cover. These specialists will help you understand what coverage your insurance provides and your responsibility for payment. A member of this team will assist you with scheduling the child’s appointment at the best time for you and child.
