• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms presented by clients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, respecting their specific goals and preferences.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to ensure effective intervention.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment modalities, and self-care practices that promote mental wellness.
• Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect their evolving needs and circumstances.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that addresses both psychological and physical health concerns.
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in therapy and mood disorder treatment to enhance service delivery.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation in compliance with legal regulations and ethical standards.
• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development to foster a culture of learning and collaboration.
• Advocate for mental health awareness and work to combat stigma while ensuring the unique needs of clients are met.

In this role, you will be working with individuals who struggle with various mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your clients may come from diverse backgrounds, including vulnerable populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your expertise will help these clients navigate their challenges, develop coping strategies, and work towards recovery and stability.

• A valid and current state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to establish a secure and trusting therapeutic relationship through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassion, empathy, and an open-minded attitude towards clients’ experiences and challenges are essential.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to effectively handle administrative tasks and client care.

Experience working with clients suffering from mood disorders is highly preferred. Additionally, familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and a proven track record of developing effective treatment plans will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Skills in case management and a background in crisis intervention will also be valuable assets.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
