We are seeking a highly motivated, technically talented individual, who has a true desire to lead and coach in a dynamic operations environment to support Landing Gear MRO. In this role you will be assisting with the daily production of the facility, onboard, train and provide direction to skilled employees, leading employee engagement, and driving continuous improvement efforts guided by our Control Tower objectives.
Additionally, you will lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, and cost reduction through the system's various elements. In conjunction to daily responsibilities; development of subordinate people leaders, project management, effective communication and execution with support group members is critical to the role's success.
What You Will Do:
  • Safety and Quality: Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring all products meet quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervising, training, and motivating hourly associates on all shifts, to include a direct report 2nd shift supervisor, to achieve performance objectives and developing them for increased responsibility/proficiency.
  • Operational Efficiency: Planning and organizing resources to meet production schedules, minimizing waste, and driving continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing).
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate training records, time logs, and job performance documentation.
  • Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving operational issues and coordinating with support functions such as Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, & Planning on a daily basis

Qualifications You Must Have :
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • 5 years Supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with production management software (SAP), Microsoft Office Suite, and specific industry principles like Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Aviation/Aerospace manufacturing experience highly preferred
  • Experience working with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, strategic thinking, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Specialized knowledge of technical/operational practices and/or shop environment experience
  • Experience with continuous improvement principles & lean manufacturing

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
