Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol - Part Time

Tue 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Wed 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and help to document observations and actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Help to monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, assisting with access control and directing visitors according to location protocols.
  • Support a professional presence in a healthcare location by communicating with staff and visitors, reporting hazards and/or maintenance concerns, and helping to de-escalate tense situations when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
