Position Type: Part Time / Day Shift

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Sat 08:00 AM - 04:31 PM

Sun 08:00 AM - 04:31 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and/or emergency response actions as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and exterior locations for unusual conditions, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support campus operations by assisting with directions, visitor questions, and other routine requests while maintaining awareness of security-related conditions across the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
