• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health conditions, employing tools and methodologies that facilitate accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
• Provide individualized therapy sessions through telehealth platforms, using evidence-based therapeutic modalities to cater to the specific needs of each client.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in partnership with clients, setting clear therapeutic goals and regularly reviewing these goals against measurable outcomes.
• Monitor client progress continuously, adapting therapeutic approaches as necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes for your clients.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards, safeguarding client confidentiality while ensuring the highest level of professional practice.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance your therapeutic skills, stay informed about new therapeutic techniques, and comply with the ethical standards of practice within the mental health field.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Advocate Aurora Medical Center, you will work with a diverse array of clients, including adult and youth populations. Your practice will encompass a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Whether through face-to-face or virtual sessions, you will play a critical role in guiding clients through their therapeutic journey, providing them with the needed tools to navigate their personal challenges.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in mental health counseling is required, encompassing a strong foundation in therapeutic practices and patient care.
• Familiarity with family therapy, substance misuse counseling, or trauma-informed care is highly preferred, reflecting our commitment to diversity and comprehensive care.
• Demonstrated understanding of legal and ethical standards governing mental health practice.
• Capability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment, fostering collaboration and open communication with healthcare professionals.

• Experience in specialized areas such as couples counseling, PTSD, and substance use disorders will be advantageous.
• Prior involvement with telehealth services is a plus, ensuring a smooth transition into our virtual counseling approach.

• Annual salary range of $80,000 to $104,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
