Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor client progress continuously, adapting therapeutic approaches as necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes for your clients.

  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance your therapeutic skills, stay informed about new therapeutic techniques, and comply with the ethical standards of practice within the mental health field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Advocate Aurora Medical Center, you will work with a diverse array of clients, including adult and youth populations. Your practice will encompass a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in mental health counseling is required, encompassing a strong foundation in therapeutic practices and patient care.
