Position Overview
QinetiQ US is seeking a Sr Buyer for our Lorton, VA location.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of a Senior Buyer include the strategic sourcing of materials and services, managing procurement processes, and optimizing cost without compromising on quality. This involves:
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with company goals.
  • Negotiate and execute purchase orders and Long-Term Agreement contracts with suppliers and secure advantageous terms.
  • Perform price/cost analysis.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services from vendors.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and new suppliers.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR requirements and regulations

Required Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience- 7+ years in a procurement or purchasing role, with at least 3+ years in a senior position handling complex procurement task.
  • Understands Contractors Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR) requirements
  • Use of Costpoint ERP system
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills

Pay Transparency
The salary range for this role is $100-130K USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
