Ehvert Mission Critical is a business unit within Salas O’Brien, specializing in electrical engineering for hyperscale and AI data centers across the United States and Canada. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience and expertise in SKM PowerTools.

What You Will Do
  • Perform electrical system design and analysis using SKM PowerTools.
  • Conduct short‑circuit, protective device coordination, arc‑flash, and reliability studies.
  • Design, model, and simulate electrical systems including MV/LV distribution, UPS, and standby generators.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, schematic designs, and detailed designs.
  • Create project documentation, design criteria, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers to coordinate BIM models and resolve design issues.
  • Review shop drawings for compliance with codes and standards.
  • Support site visits and inspections to verify installation and system performance.
What We Expect
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of electrical engineering experience, ideally with large‑scale or mission‑critical projects.
  • Proficiency with SKM PowerTools (Etap or EasyPower is a plus).
  • Knowledge of MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, and redundancy strategies.
  • Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, and international electrical codes.
  • Experience with BIM software (Autodesk Revit) and CAD tools.
  • Understanding of ductbank ampacity/heat (Neher‑McGrath) studies is a plus.
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Authorization to work in Canada.
