Job description

Lynch Consultants is looking for an Audit Remediation Support Specialist to support an Intelligence Agency client in the National Capital Region. If you know audit remediation, property lifecycle management, and how to turn complex challenges into actionable solutions, this is your opportunity to make a difference where it matters.
The position involves supervising staff, project planning, engaging with clients, and providing audit-remediation support across the property lifecycle, with assistance from subject matter experts as needed.

Salary:Up to $160,000/yr commensurate with experience.
Work Location and Schedule:
  • This work will be performed at the client site 5-days/week in Springfield, VA.

Required Qualifications - Must Have:
  • MUST have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Business Management related field.
  • MUST have 6+ years of accounting or financial management experience, which includes a minimum of 4 years of experience performing one or more of the following: Federal Financial Reporting, General Ledger Analysis, Audit Remediation, Financial Process Improvement through Automation, Documenting and Testing Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting in accordance with OMB Circular A-123, or Determining the value of capital assets.
  • MUST have an active TS, TS-SCI clearance or eligible for a TS-SCI clearance.
  • MUST be a US citizen.
  • MUST be located in the National Capital Region (DC, Virginia, Maryland). Relocation bonus will be offered.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • DoD / Intelligence community financial management experience.
  • Federal or Commercial financial statement audit experience.
  • One of the following certifications is highly desired: CPA, CIA, CFE, CGFM, and/or CDFM.

Skills & Duties:
  • Familiarity with OMB Circular A-123.
  • Knowledge of FASAB Accounting Standards related to Property, Plant, and Equipment (PP&E).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
