Job description

Overview

BerryDunn is seeking an Audit Manager join our Not-for-Profit Practice Group and to help lead our engagement service team. You will join a core team tasked with conducting audits, reviews and consulting services for our clients in the Nor-for-Profit group which consists of social service agencies, educationalย institutions, housing and other not-for-profits. You will report to the Senior Audit Managers and Principals in the Group.

This position may work from one of our offices located in Manchester, NH, Waltham, MA, Portland, ME, New Haven CT or Bangor, ME locations or remotely.

Travel Expectations: This role generally requires minimal travel, less than 10% per year.ย 

You Will
  • Manage, direct and monitor multiple client engagements; schedule and coordinate workflow and staffing for financial audit projects and engagements.
  • Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and lead change efforts effectively.
  • Consult, work with, and service client base to make recommendations on business improvement and process improvement and serve as a business advisor to client.
  • Work with principals and senior managers on proposals and business development activities.
  • Assist with and/or participate in board presentations.ย 
  • Understand and manage firm risk on audits and proposals.
  • Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagement and performance meetings.
  • Participate in recruiting talent to the firm.
  • Supervise and develop talent on our team.ย 
  • Attend professional development, networking events and training seminars when required.ย 
  • Have experience performing Uniform Guidance Compliance audits.ย 
You Have
  • CPA License
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience
  • Highly evolved analytical and problem solving ability
  • Proven supervisory and training success
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills, rules and standards
  • The ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and organizational skills
Compensation Details

The base salary range targeted for this role is $105,000 - $120,000.ย  This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on factors such as company and personal performance.ย  This salary range represents BerryDunn's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications more than the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
