Audit Supervisor


Hybrid near Bridgeville, PA


This role supports a growing audit practice serving clients within the postsecondary education sector and other closely related organizations. Prior experience with schools or in the education sector is not required.

The position exists to strengthen engagement leadership by adding an experienced professional who can oversee audit execution, guide staff, and maintain strong client relationships.

You will work closely with senior leadership to manage engagements from planning through completion, while serving as a key resource for both clients and internal team members.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight of audit engagements, tailoring and finalizing audit programs based on risk assessments
  • Oversee preparation of financial statements, including drafting and reviewing footnote disclosures
  • Review audit testing across all engagement areas completed by team members to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Communicate directly with clients to address accounting and auditing questions and provide practical solutions
  • Coordinate with the tax team regarding potential impacts of audit adjustments on tax filings and projections
  • Monitor engagement progress, budgets, and timelines while communicating updates to senior leadership


Qualifications

  • Active CPA license
  • 5+ years of public accounting experience
  • 1+ years supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Experience overseeing audit engagements and managing project workflows
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting requirements
