Job description

Audiologist Woodbury, NJ

Contract Term: March 1, 2026 – February 28, 2027 (1 Year)

Work Arrangement: Onsite – Monthly scheduled visits + emergency availability

Licensed Audiologist to provide comprehensive, responsive, and properly documented audiology services for its residents. The Audiologist will ensure annual screenings, hearing aid support, emergency care, and accurate documentation in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

  • Conduct monthly scheduled visits and emergency hearing assessments.
  • Perform comprehensive in-house audiology screenings for each resident at least once annually.
  • Provide unlimited hearing aid adjustments and maintenance as clinically required.
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Manager/Director of Nursing for continuity of care.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Accurately document all services in the Sigma Care (EHR) system.
  • Maintain active NJ Audiologist license and malpractice insurance during the contract period.
  • Ensure compliance with all long-term care regulations and billing standards.

Billing Responsibilities:

  • Direct billing to Medicare, Medicaid, and private pay sources.
  • No reimbursement from the County; billing must be managed independently.

Coordination & Coverage:

  • Maintain consistent communication with nursing leadership.
  • Provide designated coverage in case of vacation or absence.
  • Notify the facility of any changes in service or provider coverage.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Licensed Audiologist in the State of New Jersey – Required
  • Active Malpractice Insurance – Required
  • Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric care – Preferred
  • Familiarity with Sigma Care or other EHR systems – Preferred
  • Proficiency in hearing aid assessment and adjustments
  • Understanding of Medicare/Medicaid/private pay billing
