ABOUT THIS ROLE
We're seeking a driven and creative Associate Corporate Counsel to join our legal team supporting all sectors of our business with a heavy emphasis on supporting our Content organization. This role reports to the Head of Content Legal Affairs.
As an Associate Corporate Counsel, you will..


- Work closely with business affairs, creative teams, finance and other cross-functional stakeholders at Audible/Amazon, providing day-to-day legal input on business and strategy as well as serving as primary legal support for all aspects of content acquisition, production, and distribution
- Develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative and business-centric ways
- Structure, draft and negotiate agreements for audiobook and original content rights acquisition, development, production, distribution and TV/film derivatives including license and distribution agreements, production service agreements, development agreements, talent agreements, option purchase agreements, producer agreements, etc.
- Provide analysis and advice on rights-related issues including copyright, trademark, defamation, and rights of publicity and privacy
- Act as production counsel for new productions, collaborating closely with producers and production personnel to address time-sensitive production-related inquiries and ensure timely and cost-effective productions
- Assist with the development of forms, processes, and policies
