JOB SUMMARY
MTG specializes in designing, installing, and servicing commercial property technologies across local and national markets.
The Regional Account Manager - A/V will contribute to the growth and success of MTG by focusing on sourcing new prospects, developing trusting relationships, introducing MTG talent and other resources, and managing communication and collaboration to secure win/win results for our clients and our company.
As a Regional Account Manager for corporate accounts, your primary product line focus will be audio-visual, but knowledge of other technology solutions within MTG's service offerings is helpful.
Success in this role is measured by prospecting activity, pipeline development, new customer acquisition, and profitable revenue growth. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys opening doors, creating opportunities, and winning new business.
The Regional Account Manager - A/V must work closely with Operations, Finance, Technical Services, and other Sales team members to meet company processes, performance, and communication expectations.
This position will report to the Manager of A/V.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Gain a thorough understanding of MTG's vision, goals, and market strategy
  • Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities that align with MTG's vision, market strategy, and core capabilities
  • Identify target accounts and establish relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain an active schedule of customer visits, networking activities, industry events, and relationship-building interactions to strengthen strategic relationships, uncover customer needs, and generate future opportunities
  • Prospect for new opportunities using multiple methods to meet established pipeline and sales goals
  • Attend strategically selected trade events with a results-oriented mindset
  • Conduct meetings with prospects to learn more about their business, business needs, business pain and share the MTG value message
  • Create and perform effective business development presentations
  • Develop strategic client relationships that position MTG as a trusted technology partner and create opportunities for long-term growth
  • Create, maintain and leverage strategic relationships with other industry-related professionals to drive focused business growth
  • Gather, organize and deliver detailed client information as needed to MTG teammates to foster thorough communication and accurate next steps
  • Stay current on industry trends and look for market opportunities that could drive new desirable business
  • Collaborate with teammates and MTG business units to meet company process, performance, and communication expectations
  • Update weekly opportunity and forecast data in ERP
  • Manage sales, entertainment, and travel costs to stay within established budgets
  • Manage business and travel receipts using our expense management system
  • Additional related tasks as required
  • Travel expectations < 10%
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of outside sales or business development experience within the technology industry
  • Demonstrated success in generating net-new business opportunities and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of audio-visual, IP technology and low voltage systems and best practices
  • Professional communication skills (oral and written)
  • Proven sales, customer service, opportunity qualification, and closing skills
  • Well-organized, accurate, and strong attention to detail
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Computer proficiency in a Windows environment using MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and internal CRM and accounting software applications
  • Ability to travel on an occasional basis and manage workload while out of the office
  • Ability to present project information to groups of internal stakeholders and/or participate in project meetings
