PAY RANGE:  $45,000 - $56,000/Year, Based on Experience
CIVIL SERVICE TITLE(S):  Technology Events Support Technician (currently non-competitive)
JOB DESCRIPTION:    Provide shop and /or BOCES wide hardware, software, and network technical maintenance and repair support for Audio Visual technologies and computer support.  



TYPICAL DUTIES:  

  1. TROUBLESHOOT, DIAGNOSE, and RESOLVE technical problems.
  2. INSTALL new equipment and utility and applications.
  3. CONDUCT routine systems support (replace bulbs, re-alignment of systems) activities.
  4. CONDUCT routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
  5. CONDUCT module and component level hardware repairs.
  6. PROVIDE training for school staff in basic operations.
  7. MAINTAIN support and service records.
  8. PERFORM related tasks as assigned.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 
 

Must possess or meet requirements for Civil Service title Audio Visual Assistant

Education:                     Two or more years post secondary technical education

Experience:                    Audio Visual operations/setup/maintenance, Microcomputer Operations, Equipment repair (hardware).  Customer service.
