We are a small but growing commercial AV and Acoustics company delivering high-quality audio, video, and acoustic solutions for corporate, hospitality, education, and performance environments. We pride ourselves on technical excellence, thoughtful system design, and strong client relationships. We also have an AV Rentals and  Production Department. 

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Commercial AV & Acoustic Solutions Specialist to support both the sales and execution of integrated AV and acoustic treatment projects. The ideal person would have both AV and Acoustic experience but if you only have experience with Audio but have a passion for Acoustics we can train you in room testing and acoustic design.

This role requires a strong technical background, the ability to consult with clients, and hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting systems in the field. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, works well as part of a team, and brings a positive, solution-oriented attitude to both client interactions and internal collaboration.

This position has the possibility to become a salaried management position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to assess needs and recommend appropriate commercial AV systems and acoustic treatment solutions
  • Sell and specify complete AV and acoustic packages, including equipment, labor, and materials
  • Design or assist with system layouts, signal flow, and acoustic treatment plans
  • Install, configure, and commission commercial AV systems (audio, video, control, networking)
  • Install acoustic treatment solutions such as panels, diffusers, bass traps, and sound isolation products
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues during installation and post-install support
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure project success
  • Create and Maintain clear documentation, drawings, and system records
  • Stay current on AV technologies, acoustic products, and industry best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with audio DSP programming, and control systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across audio, video, control, and signal flow
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical clients
  • Working knowledge of construction, carpentry, and tools associated
  • Comfortable working independently from time to time 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work on job sites as needed
  • Working at height, able to lift and carry 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience selling and installing commercial AV systems and Acoustic Treatment Solutions
  • Experience installing and setting up Microsoft Teams  / Zoom Rooms 
  • Familiarity with acoustic measurement tools and room analysis
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with acoustic treatment solutions and applications
  • Industry Certifications (CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I)
  • Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Dante, Qsys, Symetrix, Protea, Biamp, Crestron, etc.)
  • Background in live sound, studio, or architectural acoustics
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, switches, routers, firewalls
