Job description

Grand Canyon University! One of Arizona's leading institutions of higher learning.
Located in the Valley of Sun in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, GCU is a regionally accredited, private, nondenominational Christian University.
The Campus Technology Service Engineer offers technical support through configuring, updating, and maintaining various audio, video, and point-of-sale equipment utilized in campus operations. Acts as a tier 2 troubleshooter for all hardware and software configurations of audio and visual media control systems, end devices, and point-of-sale devices used across campus.
What you will do:
  • Tests integrated audio, visual, and point of sale systems and performs troubleshooting when required.
  • Assists the Audio-Visual Supervisor with projects and commissioning of systems. This includes confirmation of design accuracy and updating the project management software as needed.
  • Assist end user with training and system setup for presentation and general use as needed, including large meeting spaces.
  • Conducts testing, firmware updates, and maintenance on Audio Visual systems and components.
  • Read and build single line drawings for projects in AutoCAD.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will need:
  • High School Diploma of equivalent.
  • 1+ year of experience with AV systems and basic technology troubleshooting.
  • Must be proficient understanding of audio and video signals.
  • Must have knowledge of Audio DSP layout and programming.
  • Must have PC knowledge including communication methods between PC and Devices.
  • Ability to integrate and learn other connecting IP technology and systems as it relates to Audio, Visual, and Point of Sale systems.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
