Audio Visual Drafting information

What is audio visual drafting?

Audio visual drafting is the process of creating technical drawings and plans for audio, video, and lighting systems in various environments, such as conference rooms, theaters, and broadcast studios. These drafts help communicate system layouts, wiring diagrams, equipment placement, and installation requirements to engineers, installers, and clients. Professionals in this field use specialized software like AutoCAD or Revit to produce accurate and detailed schematics that ensure proper integration and functionality of AV systems.

What are some common challenges faced by audio visual drafters when working on complex projects?

Audio Visual Drafters often encounter challenges related to integrating multiple AV systems within tight architectural constraints, ensuring that all specifications align with client expectations and local building codes. Collaboration with architects, engineers, and installation teams is crucial, as last-minute design changes or on-site issues may require swift adjustments to drafts. Additionally, staying updated with evolving AV technology standards and software tools is essential to produce accurate, detailed drawings that facilitate smooth project execution.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an audio visual drafter, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Audio Visual Drafter, you need strong technical drawing skills, proficiency in CAD software, and a solid understanding of AV system design principles, often supported by a relevant degree or certification. Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and AV-specific design platforms, along with knowledge of industry standards, is typically required. Attention to detail, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities are important soft skills in this role. These competencies ensure accurate, efficient project documentation and successful collaboration with engineers, integrators, and clients throughout the AV project lifecycle.

Job description

About ReminderMedia

ReminderMedia is a leading marketing services provider that has helped over 100,000 small businesses grow their client base through a powerful suite of digital and direct-mail marketing tools. We serve real estate agents, insurance professionals, financial advisors, and other relationship-driven small businesses with branded lifestyle magazines, digital marketing platforms, and creative content that keeps our clients top-of-mind with the people who matter most to their business.

About the Role

We are hiring a Social Media & Content Manager to own how ReminderMedia shows up across our owned social channels. This is a hands-on creative production role: you will concept, produce, and publish short-form video and design assets, maintain a consistent publishing cadence, and grow engagement across platforms.

The role also carries secondary responsibility for public relations support and for coordinating our presence at industry conferences and partner events. Content production is the core of the job; PR and event coordination are meaningful but supporting elements of it.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Wayne office. Regular in-office presence is required because much of the content production is filmed on site and developed collaboratively with our marketing and product teams.

Essential FunctionsSocial Content Production and Publishing

• Concept, script, produce, and publish original short-form video for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other active ReminderMedia channels.

• Appear on camera and on audio in ReminderMedia content on a recurring basis, and direct other on-camera participants including employees, clients, and partners.

• Produce supporting static and design assets for social, email, and web placement.

• Maintain a published content calendar and hit an agreed posting cadence across all active channels.

• Apply and maintain ReminderMedia brand voice, visual standards, and messaging guidelines across every channel.

• Use approved AI tools for image, design, and video production in accordance with ReminderMedia’s AI Use Policy, including required documentation of AI-assisted assets.

• Track channel and post-level performance against defined engagement and growth targets, and report results on a recurring cadence.

Communications and Public Relations Support

• Draft press releases, product announcements, and other external communications for review and approval.

• Build and maintain a target media list, develop story angles, and pitch outlets and industry publications.

• Support paid and organic promotional efforts in coordination with the marketing team.

Client Content, UGC, and Compliance

• Source, curate, and secure written permission for user-generated content and client testimonials, using ReminderMedia’s approved release and consent process.

• Ensure all testimonial and endorsement content complies with applicable advertising rules, including the FTC Endorsement Guides and Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials, SEC Marketing Rule requirements applicable to investment-adviser clients, and state insurance and real estate advertising regulations. Route all testimonial content from regulated client segments through management before publication.

• Respond to comments, messages, and community engagement across channels within defined service-level expectations, escalating client service and complaint issues to the appropriate internal team.

Conference and Partner Event Coordination

• Serve as ReminderMedia’s primary point of contact for the conferences and industry events we attend, coordinating logistics, deadlines, deliverables, and on-site content capture.

• Maintain working relationships with event organizers and corporate and aligned partners, and coordinate cross-promotional content.

• Travel to and attend select events, including occasional overnight travel and work outside standard business hours during event periods.

This role has no authority to sign, commit to, or otherwise bind ReminderMedia to any vendor, sponsorship, event, or partner agreement. All agreements and spend commitments are routed to the CMO for approval and execution.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• 2+ years of experience managing social media channels for a brand, business, or organization.

• Demonstrated experience producing short-form video from concept through publication, including filming, editing, and captioning.

• Demonstrated experience producing design assets for social or digital channels.

• Hands-on experience with AI tools for image, video, or design generation.

• Experience working from a content calendar and meeting recurring publishing deadlines across multiple channels.

• Experience using platform analytics to report on content performance.

• Willingness to appear on camera and on audio in published brand content.

• Ability to travel approximately [10–15%] annually, including occasional overnight travel.

Portfolio of previously published work required. Submit links or files showing content you have published for a brand, business, or organization, including at least two short-form videos. We review previously published work only and do not ask candidates to produce unpaid original work for ReminderMedia as part of the interview process. If a paid work sample is requested at a later stage, it will be paid at an agreed rate.

• Clear professional written and verbal communication in English, which is essential to drafting published content and pitching media contacts.

• Authorization to work in the United States.

• Ability to work a hybrid schedule from our Wayne, PA office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Public relations, communications, or media relations experience, including successful earned-media placements.

• Experience marketing to small business owners or professional-services audiences such as real estate agents, insurance agents, or financial advisors.

• Experience with advertising compliance in a regulated vertical.

• Experience coordinating brand presence at trade shows or industry conferences.

• Familiarity with social scheduling, listening, or asset management platforms.

How We Measure Success in This Role

• Publishing cadence met across all active channels.

• Growth in engagement and follower metrics against agreed baselines.

• Volume of original short-form video produced and published.

• Earned media placements secured.

• Volume of compliant, permissioned client testimonials and UGC collected.

• Event deliverables completed on schedule.
