A-V Services Inc., a leading Audio Video company with multiple fortune 100 contracts within the financial, pharmaceutical and computing industries, is seeking an Audio-Visual Install Technician. Candidate must have great customer service skills with emphasis supporting the corporate sector, with comprehensive audio video skills. Ideal candidate would have Associates level college degree in a technology related field and/or minimum 3 years of previous employment with AV support responsibilities in the AV industry. Key Responsibilities Effectively prioritize and execute tasks. Excellent termination, cable management and organizational skills Ability to operate power tools, lift heavy loads and work at heights using ladders and/or scaffolding. Demonstrate strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Communicate technical information clearly and concisely. Collaborate with Control and DSP programmers in the field to load programs remotely. Read and interpret AV system flow diagrams and support documentation fluently. Troubleshoot and diagnose AV equipment failures, Utilizing Crestron Toolbox and experience with Crestron DM/Extron/Cisco certification is a plus. Knowledge of Bi-Amp, Poly, and ClearOne with the ability to modify DSP is a plus. Experience with integrated telepresence and VTC installations. Wire and rewire AV rack equipment. Troubleshoot network issues and possess knowledge of commercial IT networks for LAN or WAN. Understand all areas of the A/V field, including, but not limited to: Switching/routing/interfacing technology Video & audio-conferencing technologies Qualifications and Skills Associates level college degree in a technology-related field and/or a minimum of 3 years of previous employment with AV support responsibilities in the AV industry. Proficiency in PC use, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook. Excellent interpersonal skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. Strong organizational skills to manage and maintain various working queues. Must be available for weekend work one to two times a month. Must maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively with management and clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
