General Summary
The Healthcare Simulation Hospital Work Study will support the simulation team with day-to-day operations in a state-of-the-art clinical learning environment. This position offers students hands-on experience with healthcare simulation, technology, and lab operations while developing professional skills in organization, teamwork, and communication.
Specific Position Duties
  • Assist in the setup, operation, and breakdown of simulation scenarios, equipment, and manikins.
  • Support faculty and staff during lab sessions and simulation events.
  • Perform cleaning, stocking, and organizing of simulation labs and hospital spaces.
  • Serve as a simulated patient, family member, or bystander during training scenarios, as needed.
  • Provide basic technical support with A/V systems and manikin equipment (training provided).
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, inventory tracking, and filing.
  • Ensure safety, confidentiality, and infection control standards are followed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current student enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and eligible for Work Study.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently or with a team.
  • Comfortable learning to use simulation and A/V equipment (training provided).
  • Interest in healthcare, nursing, or allied health fields preferred.
