Applicants must possess an Associates Degree or the equivalent sixty (60) college credits or show proof of having passed the ETS Para Pro Assessment to be eligible for this position.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist staff and students in the selection and/or location of library media materials.
  2. Prepare requisition for new materials.
  3. Maintain media center materials catalog.
  4. Keep inventory of library media supplies.
  5. Discharge library media materials.
  6. Assist in the upkeep of library media materials.
  7. Assist with the supervision of circulation routines.
  8. Assist with the preparation of special exhibits and printed lists
  9. Supervise student assistants or media center volunteers.
  10. Coordinate classroom assignments with available library media materials.
  11. Assist with maintaining discipline as appropriate.
  12. Participate in in-service programs when assigned.
  13. Operate all audio-visual equipment as necessary and assist teachers with same when necessary.
  14. Record all out-going and incoming audio-visual materials and equipment.
  15. Duplicate or copy media center materials for instructional use.
  16. Assume such other functions as may be delegated.
