Audio video (AV) professionals are specialists who design, install, operate, and maintain equipment used for sound and visual presentations. This includes systems like microphones, speakers, projectors, video conferencing tools, and digital displays. AV professionals work in various settings such as events, corporate meetings, entertainment venues, and educational institutions to ensure high-quality audiovisual experiences. Their responsibilities often involve troubleshooting technical issues and integrating new technologies into existing systems.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an audio video technician?

To excel as an Audio Video Technician, you need technical knowledge of AV systems, troubleshooting abilities, and often a relevant certification or associate degree. Familiarity with equipment like mixers, projectors, video conferencing platforms, and control systems such as Crestron or Extron is commonly required. Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills help you effectively support events and collaborate with clients or team members. These competencies ensure seamless AV operations, minimize downtime, and deliver high-quality experiences for audiences and stakeholders.

What are some common challenges faced by audio video professionals when working on live events, and how can they be managed?

Audio Video professionals working on live events often encounter challenges such as last-minute technical issues, adapting to different venues, and coordinating with multiple teams under tight deadlines. Job description

The Junior Media Buyer at Mynt Agency is an entry-level role supporting the media team with day-to-day operations across audio and video channels. This position is ideal for someone detail-oriented and eager to learn the inner workings of media buying, with a primary focus on podcast and other audio placements. You will work closely with senior buyers, account managers, and clients to keep campaigns running smoothly and on time.
What Makes a Good Fit

Mynt is built for driven intrapreneurs who treat their work like they own it. We move fast, hold a high bar, and push each other forward with genuine support and positivity, never pressure. If you're ambitious, growth-minded, and energized by a team that wins together, you'll thrive here.

About Mynt Agency

Mynt helps growth brands turn video and audio into measurable acquisition channels. We plan, buy, and measure across CTV, linear TV, YouTube, podcasts, streaming audio, and radio, with a specific focus on using premium media more efficiently than traditional agencies and proving the business impact through attribution, lift testing, and incrementality. We work with amazing brands including Oats Overnight, Grüns, Liquid Death, Prenuvo, and many more.

The broader Mynt story is simple: we have generated $3bn+ in incremental client revenue, have 5.5+ years of average client tenure, and average 4x ROAS on evergreen campaigns. We are not a generic media agency. We focus on helping brands find solutions for incremental scale, especially when search and social are becoming expensive, saturated, or insufficient for the next stage of growth.

Data Entry & Administrative Support
● Enter and maintain accurate data across media plans, insertion orders, and tracking spreadsheets
● Input and update campaign details in internal systems and trafficking tools
● Compile and organize post logs for completed campaigns across audio and video placements

Creative Briefs, Scripts & Talking Points
● Prepare creative briefs for audio and video campaigns based on client goals and campaign details
● Draft podcast host-read scripts and talking points for client-approved endorsements
● Coordinate with clients and account managers to gather key messaging, product details, and brand voice guidance
● Revise and refine scripts and talking points based on client feedback
Qualifications:

Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work/internship experience
• 0–2 years of experience in a coordinator, assistant, or administrative role (media/advertising experience a plus)
• Familiarity with audio advertising: podcast, digital streaming and radio
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Solid time management and prioritization skills

Preferred:
• Exposure to media buying, advertising, or ad operations
• Familiarity with CTV and Linear TV
