ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
TelevisaUnivision is seeking a creative and knowledgeable Music Show Writer to craft engaging scripts and content for our music-focused show. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for music, excellent storytelling abilities, and an understanding of how to captivate diverse audiences through writing. Whether it's introducing artists, scripting host segments, or weaving narratives around songs, you'll play a key role in bringing the show to life.
YOUR DAY-DAY:
  • Write compelling and entertaining scripts for music shows, segments, interviews, and artist spotlights.
  • Research artists, music genres, industry trends, and relevant news to develop fresh content.
  • Collaborate with producers, hosts, editors, and the creative team to align the script with the show's tone and vision.
  • Generate segment ideas and contribute to the creative planning of each episode.
  • Adapt scripts for different platforms (TV, radio, streaming, podcast, YouTube, social media).
  • Ensure all written material adheres to copyright, licensing, and broadcast standards.
  • Edit and revise scripts based on feedback and time constraints.

YOU HAVE:
  • Proven experience as a writer in music, entertainment, broadcast, or related fields.
  • Strong passion for music across genres and eras; ability to speak knowledgeably about artists and music history.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and research skills.
  • Familiarity with script formats for audio and/or video.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
